“Efficient Energy” with Ben – Workout 004

Today was my day off from work, so I spent it watching most of the Avengers movies I hadn’t seen yet: Ant Man and Wasp and Thor: Ragnarok. I haven’t seen Captain Marvel yet, but I am honestly tempted to just read the Wikipedia article on it because the feeds I’ve found are so freakin dark that I just can’t understand what is going on. I’m going to see End Game tomorrow at like 6pm so I need to make sure I am UP. TO. DATE.

Something people don’t know about me: I love comics. I’ve fallen behind in my love of them, honestly because I didn’t have a car and couldn’t get to a shop but I’m thinking I’m going to pick them back up again. The art is always stunning (well usually) and it’s so interesting to see how different people pick up different characters. I am 100% more of a Marvel girl than a DC girl, but I have found some really amazing DC comics that I’ve enjoyed. That being said, I think it might be time to get back into comics. My favorite superhero of literally all time is Scarlet Witch. She is my favorite, I will defend her to the end, and I even have a cute bag with her head piece on it. Wanda Maximoff is everything and no one can change my mind about that.

On another note, today I had a milestone: I ran FIVE WHOLE MINUTES. I know, insane. AND today Coach Ben actually friended me on Facebook. Seriously wild. I can’t imagine running without his voice coaching me on honestly. Today I did six 30 second jog intervals, then 3 1/2 minutes jogging, then 3 1/2 minutes walking, then 3m 45s jogging, then 3 1/2 min walking, thenĀ four minutes running, then 3 1/2min walking, thenĀ FIVE MINUTES RUNNING. Honestly it’s more than just mental, it’s taken really good training to get me to this point. It’s mental yes, but I also think it’s doing the intervals so that when five minutes comes my body is like “okay this is difficult but we have the muscle memory to do it.” I was even running with really great form (at least I think so) and I’m just really proud of myself.

I told myself I’d get froyo after I worked out, but I didn’t. I’m like, craving sweets right now, and I’m trying to decide if it’s worth it to go get something. Maybe after this Vanderpump Rules episode I’ll drive up the street real quick to Circle K. We’ll see. I should sleep soon since I open the restaurant tomorrow, but I also know that I have Friday off and then I’m going to see the movie so you know. I still can’t believe I see the last Avengers movie tomorrow. I’m going to have to probably do a massive marathon of all the movies and shows (I haven’t even really watched Agents of Shield) just because I don’t want it to be over. My Arrow and Flash watching will have to go on hold just like my Housewives watching.

See you all tomorrow.
