Route

I’ve decided to take on the Camino Primitivo. The original route of the camino. It’s one of the harder ones, but since I really want to go on the Camino for religious reasons, it seems like the right one to do. Here’s the route I’m planning on following:

Day 1: Fly into Spain and take a train to Oveido

Day 2: Oveido to San Juan de Villapanada (27km/16.78mi)

Day 3: San Juan de Villapanada to Salas (18.2km/11.31mi)

Day 4: Salas to Tineo (19.8 km/12.3mi)

Day 5: Tineo to Pola de Allande (26.4 km/16.4mi)

Day 6: Pola de Allande to La Mesa (21.6km/13.42mi)

Day 7: La Mesa to Granadas de Salime (15.2km/9.44mi)

Day 8: Granadas de Salime to A Fonsagrada (27.6km/17.15mi)

Day 9: A Fonsagrada to O Cadavo (25.4km/15.78mi)

Day 10: O Cadavo to Lugo (31km/19.26mi)

Day 11: Lugo to San Roman de Retorta (19.6km/12.18mi)

Day 12: San Roman de Retorta to Melide (28.3km/17.58mi)

Day 13: Melide to Arzua (14.1km/8.76mi)

Day 14: Arzua to Santiago de Compostela (38.7km/24.05mi)

Day 15: Train back to wherever we are flying out of

Day 16: Leave
